Description

The City of Miami Beach (City) Flamingo Park is a 36.53 acre park located within the boundaries of the Historic Flamingo Park neighborhood in South Beach. Inside the park, there is an antiquated baseball field and baseball field facilities that require renovations to maximize its use. This baseball field is part of Flamingo Park Master Plan General Obligation Bond (G.O.B.) Project #5 and will be improved for the use of the community. The scope of work consists of improvements to the existing baseball facilities including but not limited to; the renovation of a sports field stadium, upgrading the ticket booth, press box, main grandstands, structural repairs, exterior and interior building and restroom repairs and renovations such as stucco repair, painting, roofing, and asbestos removal, ADA Compliance, installation of technology and security systems such as a solar panel system and CCTV, new playing field structures practice areas such as bullpens for pitching and batting, additional storage, site renovations such as concrete, asphalt, pavers, grading and drainage improvements, stormwater control considerations, landscaping and irrigation, and incorporating resilient features into proposed renovations for SITE Certification. The project excludes the field itself.
