Description

The principal purpose of this project is to provide lighting design improvements along the SW 137th Avenue corridor from SW 26th Street to SW 8th Street as a result of proposed roadway improvements along the SW 137th Avenue corridor. The purpose of this report is to provide confirmation that the proposed lighting design of this project meets Miami-Dade County Lighting Design Criteria within the project boundaries. A detailed lighting analysis was performed to determine the required lighting design. The Improvements under this Contract consist of widening along SW 137 Avenue to provide an additional northbound and southbound through lane, from SW 26 Street to SW 8 Street, to improve capacity along the corridor. The scope also includes drainage improvements, curb ramp upgrades, tree removal/relocations, signing and pavement markings, lighting and signalization upgrades at 3 intersections (SW 26 Street, SW 18 Street and SW 11 Street), as well as new landscape along the median. The summary of pay items is listed in the roadway plans.
