Description

The City of Coral Gables is seeking bids for the renovation of Rotary Park, located at 512 Ponce de Leon Boulevard. This project seeks to modernize the parks layout and infrastructure while enhancing recreational amenities to better serve the community. SCOPE OF WORK The scope of work may include, but is not limited to, the following major components in accordance with Exhibit A Drawings (All Disciplines) and Exhibit B Drawings (DERM): 2.2.1 North Side 2.2.1.1 This section encompasses the existing playground area. Renovations will include the demolition and removal of outdated elements such as playground equipment, surface materials, concrete slab, perimeter fencing, partial concrete block wall, and other obsolete infrastructure. 2.2.1.2 The scope includes the installation of new utility systems, grading, and enhanced drainage solutions. Additional improvements will feature updated landscaping with integrated lighting, concrete walking paths, site furnishings, and equipment. The new playground will incorporate synthetic turf, a shade sail, a mister, and a water fountain. 2.2.2 South Side 2.2.2.1 The existing open lawn will be improved with the addition of seating areas incorporating flexipave surfaces, benches, picnic tables, and oolite boulders to create welcoming spaces for relaxation and community activities. 2.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Existing infrastructure such as exterior sidewalks, mature trees, electrical meters, and lighting poles will be preserved. The current irrigation system will be adjusted in accordance with the new landscape design layout, and it will be addressed as a change order as per contract without time extension. 2.4 OWNERS ALLOWANCE The owners allowance is intended for obtaining and providing the services identified below and needed as directed by the Architect and or Engineer (Consultant) and the City. The Contractor shall be reimbursed for the direct, actual expenses for the identified services upon receipt of invoice(s) including supporting documentation.
