Description

The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a contract for aerial spraying services for adult mosquitoes using fixedwing aircraft throughout Miami-Dade County. Historically, up until 2017, Miami-Dade County treated an average of 335,000 to 350,000 acres annually for adult mosquitoes. The Awarded Bidder shall perform pest control work consisting of aerial adulticiding applications for the control of mosquitoes in Miami-Dade County via fixed-wing aircraft on an as-needed basis. Services performed shall be delivered upon request by the County when surveillance data indicates aerial control measures are needed to combat high numbers of pestiferous and/or vector of disease mosquito populations. All services shall be performed in compliance with Chapter 388 of the Florida Statutes for Mosquito Control / Public Health, and in accordance with all applicable local and federal regulations and laws. The Awarded Bidder shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, insurance, and any other requirements to provide Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved aircraft, equipped for pesticide application, per the specifications herein.
