Description
3.1. SPECIFICATIONS/SCOPE OF WORK The Successful Bidder shall provide all materials, tools, labor, and equipment, for painting services, Citywide, on an as needed basis. The main objectives of this contract are as follows: 1. Repair cracks, chips, and surface damage on stucco and concrete surfaces; 2. Restore the structural integrity and weather resistance of the surfaces; and 3. Enhance the visual appearance of the surface through proper repair and finishing techniques. The Successful Bidder shall: 1. Provide protection of work site, inclusive of surrounding surfaces against damage (i.e., barricades, caution tape, windscreens, etc.); 2. Maintain a safe work environment utilizing industry standard tools such as ladders, scaffolding, swing stage, lifts, etc.; 3. Respond to requests for site visits within two (2) business days; 4. Construct and remove any temporary access to work site, if necessary; 5. Conduct a thorough inspection ofsurfacesincluding stucco and concrete surfacesto assessthe extent of any damage; 6. Identify areas requiring repair, including cracks, spalls, delamination, and surface imperfections; 7. Prepare and/or remove wall vinyl/wallpaper as needed; 8. Prepare the surfaces by cleaning, removing debris, and repairing any underlying issues such as water infiltration or structure damage; 9. Pressure wash all surfaces, including roof, walls, doors, gates floor, gutter systems, and/or windows; 10. Be responsible for any and all permits (when applicable); 11. Refurbish/repair/install drywall, plaster and other masonry surfaces and structures; 12. Clean surfaces to remove dirt, grease, and rust using wire brushing, sanding chemical cleaning, pressure cleaning and sandblasting; 13. Apply rust inhibiting primer to create protective barrier and apply suitable paint; 14. Patch and repair any cracks and spalling; 15. Clean and remove any stains, dirt, or debris from stucco and concrete surfaces to restore appearance; 16. Apply a protective sealant to stucco and concrete to enhance durability and resistance to weathering and staining; 17. Refill/caulk windows, doors for water prevention; 18. Inspect and repair any damaged or deteriorated expansion joints in the stucco and concrete surfaces to prevent water infiltration and maintain structural integrity; 19. Apply a coat of paint to surfaces (including walls, doors, rolling metal doors, window frame treatment). Color shall match existing color, finish and texture. Paint shall be purchased from Lanco (NO SUBSTITUTION); 20. Paint surfaces utilizing standard tools such as paint brushes, rollers, hawk, spray machines, etc.; 21. Apply waterproofing treatment/sealant to painted surfacesto prevent damage and water penetration. Some facilities would need excavation around the surfaces and footings to address capillary action issues; 22. Maintain moldings, textures and patters on surfaces for visual appeal; 23. Sandblast electric static paint, removal of old paint, epoxy and rust-oleum application and paint baking; 24. Remove all excess paint on surfaces; 25. Dispose of all debris off site on a daily basis; and 26. Leave site in ready for use conditions.
