Description

Prospective bidder shall carefully examine the site of the work and be satisfied as to all observable conditions. Bidder shall be responsible for measuring and calculating amount of work. Bid price is to include the removal and proper disposal of all work- related debris. The project consists of, and is not limited to, furnishing all materials, labor, services, supervision, tools, equipment, including all associated permits, and all other items necessary for the successful completion of the project, which shall include the replacement of the existing emergency generator and fire pump for the REG Courthouse. All work will need to be completed after business hours. The purpose of this project is to upgrade and replace the emergency generator and fire pump of the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building. To include the fire pump controller and associated equipment and supporting panels. The existing operation of the Facility must be maintained during construction. Contractor is responsible for coordinating access and construction activities to avoid any interruption to the operation of the REG Courthouse. Contractor to coordinate with County personnel to turn over existing generator to County Utilities Manager. The abbreviated scope entails the following: Full scope as per approved permit drawings. 1. Generator Replacement a. The existing generator, including its steel base, will be removed and replaced with a new generator. b. Refer to the electrical drawings for the new generator model and specifications. 2. Louver Replacement a. The existing exterior louver attached to the old generator will be removed. b. The new hurricane-impact and fire-rated louver will be installed. c. The new louver will match the existing size and color. d. PRODUCT: ELF6375DXD Stationary Louver (Ruskin) e. Miami Dade County NOA: 24-0605.04 3. Entrance Door Replacement a. The existing hollow metal (HM) entrance door will be removed a replaced with a 60-minute firerated hollow metal door. Including new door hardware such as hinge, door closer and exit panic hardware. b. The new door will swing in the direction of exit to compliance with safety regulations. c. The new door will be painted to match the existing color. 4. Fire Pump Room Replacement a. The existing fire pump, fire pump controller, jockey pump and jockey pump controller shall be removed replaced. b. Refer to the fire protection drawings for the new fire pump model and specifications. Refer to the electrical drawings for electrical connections. 5. Interior Finishes a. Interior walls will be cleaned and repainted. b. The floor will be cleaned and coated with waterproof epoxy paint. c. The exposed underside of the roof slab will remain as is and will not be painted. All building systems have a contracted vendor for monitoring with Miami Dade County Facilities Division. Prospective bidders shall include in his/her bid, provisions for all conduit and infrastructure required.
