The Okeechobee County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a qualified contractor to construct a six-court outdoor pickleball facility. The selected contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the project in full accordance with the approved Site Plan, project specifications, general notes, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The pickleball courts shall be laid out and constructed to meet or exceed current national pickleball court standards, including recognized dimensional, orientation, surface, fencing, net, and lighting requirements.
The project includes complete site preparation; saw cutting and selective demolition of existing sidewalk; removal of existing electrical equipment; construction of court foundations; asphalt surfacing; acrylic color coating; installation of perimeter fencing and individual court enclosures; net systems; and a fully functional LED sports lighting system, including new electrical service and tie-in. The six courts will be arranged in two rows of three, each court individually enclosed and oriented NorthSouth to minimize sun glare. All work limits, demolition extents, court layout, utility removals, lighting locations, and surface tie-in points shall be as shown on the attached Site Plan and associated details.
The Contractor shall be solely responsible for obtaining, maintaining, and closing out all required local, state, federal, and environmental permits necessary for the execution and completion of the project. The Contractor shall comply with all permit conditions and regulatory requirements and shall coordinate all required inspections, testing, approvals, and documentation. A safe, clean, and compliant construction site shall be maintained at all times throughout the duration of the project
