Description

The City of Delray Beach (City) is seeking bids from qualified companies to provide all labor, equipment, supplies, andnecessary for the removal and disposal of wet lime sludge generated by the Citys Water Treatment Plant at 200 SW 6th St, Delray Beach, FL 33444. SCOPE The City of Delray Beach (City) is seeking bids from qualified companies to provide all labor, equipment, supplies, and transportation necessary for the removal and disposal of wet lime sludge generated by the Citys Water Treatment Plant at 200 SW 6th St, Delray Beach, FL 33444. Contractor shall have and maintain all necessary permits for transport and disposal of the lime sludge produced. The Contractor will comply with all regulations pertaining to the transport and disposal of the lime sludge. The Contractor will be responsible for all related costs - whether stated or unstated - for the acceptance, transport, management, and disposal of lime sludge in accordance with all existing applicable regulations and in compliance with all requirements of this document. The Citys facilities are currently operating under regulations issued by Federal and State regulatory agencies. The Contractor shall abide by any order, regulation, permit, license, restriction, injunction, moratorium, or denial of permission to operate the facilities which may be imposed or issued by any agency having jurisdiction. The Contractor shall cooperate with the City during any test, experiment, construction, maintenance, or any other operation, which may affect the production of lime sludge at the City facility. The ultimate disposal of the materials by the Contractorshall be in an environmentally acceptable manner in accordance with all local, county, state, and federal requirements. Contractor shall be responsible for any costs incurred as a result of the disposal of material, including fines, penalties and testing of material. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of the wet sludge material from the Water Treatment Plant in accordance with the contract documents and without any interference to the operations of the Water Treatment Plant facility.
