The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide Construction services for the Forsyth County Kentmere Lift Station Modifications and Force Main Design including the following major components: 1. Modifications to the existing Kentmere Lift Station pump control logic and wetwell control elevations, including the installation of two wetwell float switches. 2. Installation of two (2) new flow meter vaults with associated two (2) new magnetic flow meters (6- inch and 8-inch), one 6-inch and one 8-inch actuated plug valves, new yard piping and valves, and associated controls. 3. Approximately 20 linear feet of 8-inch ceramic epoxy lined ductile iron pipe (DIP) at the lift station site, 2,130 linear feet of 6-inch ceramic epoxy lined DIP force main and 265 linear feet of 8-inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) gravity sewer pipe with associated manholes, valves, and appurtenances.

Under this project, the Contractor must furnish the labor and materials necessary to install the Foundry Sewer work, including approximately 2,500 LF of 18 PVC gravity sewer main and 275 LF of 16 steel casing. Installation shall include all work shown in the construction plans, including valves, manholes, and other appurtenances. Time allotted for completion of work is 120 consecutive calendar days. All Work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Work will be awarded in one (1) Contract.

Contractor will be responsible for performing all work detailed in the project file labeled: FOCO Water/Sewer Interior Renovations dated March 10, 2026, prepared by the Architect/Engineer, Jericho Design Group. The Project includes interior renovations to the First Floor and Second Floor as indicated in the Contract Documents. To ensure uninterrupted use and full operation of the facility, the Work shall be performed in multiple phases as required by the County. The Contractor is responsible for developing and implementing a phasing plan that sequences the Work between the First Floor and Second Floor to maintain operational continuity. Any proposed phasing approach, including the allocation of trade resources, must be submitted to the Project Manager for prior written approval.
