Adding 10 traffic signals into the Central Traffic Management System - The project is in the Village of Olympia Fields, Village of Franklin Park, City of Northlake and City of Berwyn in Cook County, Springfield, IL
This project proposes adding 10 traffic signals into the Central Traffic Management System and connecting two existing closed-loop systems together. This project will install fiber optic cable, network switches, PTZ Cameras and traffic signal controllers among other equipment to allow for remote access and monitoring capabilities at these locations. This project will improve traffic progression at these locations and allow for the District 1 network to expand for remote control and access to each traffic signal. Location: The Project is located in four different areas of Cook County. The first location is located along US Route 30 from Olympian Way to Orchard Dr in the Village of Olympia Fields. The second location is located along 25th Avenue from IL Rte 64 (North Ave) to Armitage Ave in the Village of Franklin Park. The third location is located primarily along Grand Ave from Northwest Ave to Wolf Rd with additional intersection located off of Wolf Rd at Diversey Ave located in the City of Northlake. The fourth location is located along IL Rte 43 (Harlem Ave) from 16th St to Cermak Ave and along Oak Park Ave from 16th to 26th St and then along 26th St from Oak Park Ave to Highland Ave located in the City of Berwyn.
