The net and gross length of the project is 26,883 feet (5.09 miles).

The project is located on 1st Street, from Dunning Avenue to IL Route 72 (W Main Street), in the Village West Dundee, Kane County, Illinois. The scope of work consists of traffic signal modernization at five intersections along E Indian Trail Road (FAU 1503, MUN 1157, and FAU 1509) between Ohio Street and Pennsbury Lane. The five intersections will be integrated into the Citys existing centralized transportation management system. The project is located in the City of Aurora along E Indian Trail Road (FAU 1503, MUN 1157, and FAU 1509) from Ohio Street to Pennsbury Lane in Kane and DuPage counties. E Indian Trail Road becomes N Aurora Road east of Eola Road. The gross length is 2.917. The net length of the project is 0.814 miles which accounts for several project omissions between the project termini. A location map is shown on the cover of the Plans.

The general scope of this project is pavement resurfacing (SMART Overlay) and Shoulder Repair. The work to be performed under this contract shall consist of pavement patching, milling of existing HMA surface, placing HMA surface course, placement of pavement markings, shoulder work, rumble strips, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the plans and as described herein. Location: The SMART Overlay resurfacing and patching improvement of Illinois Route 72 (Higgins Rd.) begins 136 feet east of Reinking Road and extends in an easterly direction approximately 14823 feet (2.81 miles) to the east side of Industrial Drive. The improvement is located in the Villages of Gilberts and Pingree Grove in Kane County.

Roadway Reconstruction project on a new shifted alignment consists of earth excavation, embankment, structure removal, portland cement concrete (PCC) pavement, hot-mix asphalt pavement, hot-mix asphalt binder and surface courses, pavement removal, PCC shoulder, hot-mix asphalt shoulder, combination concrete curb and gutter, concrete median, PCC sidewalk, drainage improvements, sheet pile retaining wall, cast in place box culverts, traffic signal installation, water main relocation, lighting, landscaping, erosion and sediment control, traffic control and protection. IL47 from Jericho Road to south of Galena Road is within the City of Yorkville, Village of Sugar Grove and unincorporated Kane County and Kendall Counties.

This is a crack and joint sealant improvement consisting of routing, cleaning, and sealing of longitudinal cracks and joints within the portland cement concrete pavement, portland cement concrete patching, grading and shaping shoulders, some guardrail replacement, restriping with modified urethane pavement marking, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the work shown on the plans and described within. Location: This improvement begins at a point on the centerline of IL 38 (Roosevelt Road) approximately 291 feet west of Elm Road and extends in an easterly direction to a point approximately 1576 feet west of Kress Road for a total distance of 6909 feet (1.31 miles). This improvement is located within the City of Geneva and West Chicago in Kane and DuPage Counties.

The Offerors shall provide services to remove, replace, test and return Chiller No. 5 to operational condition at the Central Utility Building (CUB) on Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) campus, in Batavia, Illinois.
