Description
The project site is located at 200 E. Cook Avenue in Libertyville, Illinois, at the intersection of Cook Avenue and First Street. The site is currently occupied by the Schertz Building, which houses the Libertyville Police Department along with other municipal functions. The planned project involves the demolition of the existing Schertz Building and the construction of a new, purpose-built Libertyville Police Station on the same site. The new facility will be an approximately 50,000 square feet three-level building. Site work includes demolition, site preparation, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, and coordinated utility relocation work related to underground service conversion. The work also includes grading, retaining walls, paving, sidewalks, and other site elements.
