Jackson and Public Works Sewer Lift Stations Pump & Controls In-Kind Replacement Project, Franklin, MA

The work to be done under this Contract for the base bid at the Public Works Sewer Lift Station consists of the following: The removal of the existing Gorman Rupp T3A3S-B pumps, motors and drives and Pump Control Panel, check valves, air release valves, and pressure gauges (4) along with the associated tubing. The existing belt guards and pulleys will remain. Furnish and installation of in-kind replacements for the existing pumps, motors, drives and control panel. Include furnish and installation of new belts and sheaves to achieve the required pump speed capable of producing 175 GPM at 65 FT TDH with a 10H.P. 3-phase Motor. Utilize all existing suction and discharge piping. Furnish and installation of in-kind replacements for the existing check valves, air release valves and pressure gauges (4) along with associated tubing. The new control panel is to be a NEMA 3R steel enclosure, wall mounted panel, with internal transformer, Pump controller, contactors and overloads, transducer inputs (including furnish and install of transducer), 2 floats for emergency high and low level backup (including furnish and installation of floats) dry contacts for SCADA connection he Town will provide by-pass pumping over the course of a 24 hour period to facilitate installation. If the contractor needs additional time they are responsible for temporary by-pass pumping. Connection of all new control panels and devices into the existing electrical and instrumentation systems (signals include pump run, pump fault, high and low wet well level). Electrical work includes running a permanent conduit and power to the existing SCADA Panel. All other work as required and as indicated in the contract documents. See attached for alternate work. Addendum No 4 moved the bid due date to May 29th.
