Description
The City of Boston acting by its Public Facilities Commission, through its Director of the Public Facilities Department (PFD) solicits statements of qualifications (SOQ) to prequalify subcontractors and general contractors for this project with a construction estimate of $68,750,000. In general, work involves: Replacement of air handlers at Boston City Hall. Associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, painting, masonry, miscellaneous and ornamental iron work. Roof replacement. Renovation of mechanical spaces and shop area. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is the first part of a two-step process. Based on the SOQsreceived in this Phase I. The Awarding Authority will select respondents it deems to be prequalified in accordance with the criteria set forth in the RFQ. Only contractors prequalified for this project in Phase I will be permitted to submit bids in Phase II.
