This project seeks to restore many of the failing window glazing units at the Judicial Center (JDC) in Hastings, MN. Beyond replacing insulated glazing units, the project also includes cleaning windows, recaulking of glass to existing frames and caulking of existing frame interiors. There are two alternates that add restoration work at select window areas, which can otherwise be deferred if needed to meet the budget.

The Contractor shall design and provide a complete service-oriented water treatment program for all boiler systems, cooling towers, all heating water circulating systems, and all chilled water systems.

The Contractor will provide all material and labor to complete the roof replacement work.

The Metropolitan Council (Council) is soliciting Prequalification Submittal Documents (PSDs) for the purpose of establishing a list of prequalified SPECIALTY CONTRACTORs to provide the specialty construction associated with compaction grouting beneath the existing interceptor, instrument monitoring during the grouting application, liner removal, rehabilitation of existing sanitary interceptor, installation of a new M228A metering structure and incidental restoration work.

The proposed work consists of constructing an approximately 750-foot pocket track to support LRT operations, extending from approximately Station 102+53.5 to 109+65. The scope includes installation of one No. 6 RH turnout (approximately 69 track feet), placement of concrete ties (including standard, restraining rail, and guard rail ties as required), installation of new rail, and secure fastening of rail to ties via insulated shoulders in accordance with LRT standards. Work will also include placement of approximately 300 tons of mainline ballast, followed by lining and tamping to achieve final plan alignment, profile, and grade. Construction activities will encompass track layout, material handling, rail installation, surfacing, and final adjustment to ensure operational readiness and integration with existing track infrastructure. Available inventory of concrete ties will be utilized where feasible to reduce material procurement costs, with remaining materials supplied as required.
