The project consists of adding ADA accessible restrooms to the chapel level of the building, replacing the flat roof, making repairs to the eave from water intrusion, and adding a new 25 space parking lot to support proper accessibility for the impaired faculty, staff, and students. The project will also focus on sound equipment and lighting repairs within the chapel and removing the front two rows of the middle section of the chapel to provide ADA space and a more functional stage use.

Campus Repairs and Renovations include the replacement of exterior pole and building mounted exterior lighting systems and associated branch circuits, renovating the existing sports track and field to include replacing the existing track with a new 400 meter track, fine grading and drainage improvements, new bleachers and sidewalks, and parking improvements.

Burke County is seeking to obtain professional architectural and engineering services for the design and renovation of a newly acquired property located at 722 E. Union Street, Morganton, NC 28655, to be converted into a 16-bed Facility-Based Crisis (FBC) Center. The project will include the renovation of an approximately 6,800 square-foot single-story building, as well as evaluation and design for a potential building expansion to support the full operational and clinical requirements of the Facility-Based Crisis program.

The Contractor shall provide all materials and labor required for the Mechanical and Electrical work for the replacement of (3) three VRF system consisting of (33) indoor air handlers, (3) outdoor heat pumps along with (4) indoor branch controllers. All new equipment to tie into newly replaced Mitsubishi controller. Existing refrigerant piping to be reused.
