The project generally consists of the installation of a restroom building, electrical, utilities, storm drainage, asphalt paving, a flagpole, and erosion control. The project also consists of site grading, preparation, and coordination for (20) pickleball courts, synthetic turf, and concrete sidewalk to be installed by others.

All disturbed areas and holes from existing post removal shall be filled/restored. Unsuitable material is that which cannot be used at the site for finished construction and shall be removed. Burning on site will not be allowed Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control including temporary silt fence, mud mat maintained, safety fencing and barricades are to be utilized. Removal of and disposal of approximately 230 l.f. x 8 wide of existing wood framed boardwalk along with a 9x11 wood platform deck. Disposal fees should be noted. It is the intent of this bid that all material and labor to remove the existing and construct the new Macon County Arthur Drake/Tsali Boardwalk. Construct new boardwalk approximately 230 l.f. x 8 wide with 9x11 platform, complete including all structural components and end concrete treatment, as identified on the plans to include structure/piles, joists/girders, decking rail chain link fence system and sign/kiosk replacement. Complete new structural columns and concrete work along with the railing system and composite decking. Final finish grading and cleanup and removal of silt fence and restoration of existing conditions.

Site 1: Arthur Drake Greenway Access (Across from 50 Arthur Drake Rd.) o New paved parking area approximately 5,000 sq. ft., marked onsite by orange flags. o Strip parking spaces. Include remarking handicap accessible sign (see attached) in correct location. o Reset existing concrete wheel stops. Include additional wheel stops as needed. o Work will need to be completed before December 1st 2026. Macon County will inform winning bidder when work can begin onsite. Site 2: Cullasaja Park (Fox Ridge Circle) o New paved parking area approximately 19,000 sq. ft., marked onsite by orange flags. o Strip parking spaces. Include one van handicap assessable space and unloading zone. Install new handicap accessible sign (see attached) in correct location. o Install Concrete wheel stops at all parking spaces. o Remove existing culvert at access point. At same location install a 30inch by 40ft HDPE double wall culvert. Include installing Rip-Rap headwalls. Site 3: Parker Meadows Complex (4306 Patton Rd.) o Remove and repave approximately 29,000sq.ft. of walking track shown on attached map in red. Include installation of geotextile grid. o Provide per sq.ft. unit price for asphalt patching as needed.
