Litter Collection & Material Transport from County Convenience Centers, Raleigh, NC
Wake County's Solid Waste Management Division is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to provide comprehensive support services for its network of Solid Waste Facilities. The selected contractor will be responsible for performing both routine and on-call litter collection around County Convenience Centers, as well as collecting and transporting various materials between facilities. The County seeks a contractor capable of providing all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary to perform these services in a safe, timely, and environmentally responsible manner. As part of its waste management program, Wake County collects oyster shells at all Convenience Center sites. These shells must be transported to the designated collection area at the South Wake Solid Waste Facility. Additionally, residents leave various materialssuch as paint, used oil, grease, fire extinguishers, mattresses, propane tanks, scrap tires, and other itemsat the Convenience Centers. These materials must be properly collected and transported to the appropriate facilities for safe disposal or recycling.
