Camp Rilea Gryphon Radar Tower Project, Warrenton, OR
Project Description: The work consists of providing all material (tower), labor and equipment necessary to construct a self-supported four legged hot dipped galvanized, 30-foot-tall tower with a 12-foot by 12-foot expanded metal hot dip galvanized platform with removable nonmetallic guard rails around the top platform. All tower fasteners must be hot dipped galvanized. The tower platform will be used for a radar station; weight of the radar station is approximately 420 pounds and is surrounded by an 8-foot radome. The tower must include an access ladder with an anti-climb barrier and tie off points on the ladder and platform to secure maintenance crews working on the (Gryphon) radar station. Utilizing the tower manufactures tower construction instructions and tower manufactures designed tower foundation, Contractor shall construct the complete and usable radar tower. The tower must to be designed for the North Oregon Coast winds and a salty environment.
