Description
Scope of Work: The contractor shall furnish and install all required equipment, in addition to also providing all labor, supervision, permits, testing, and startup necessary to provide a complete and operational hydronic heating and domestic hot water system for Building A at the Service Center. The contractors work includes: 1. Disconnect, demolish, and remove existing boiler, pumps, and associated piping, electrical power, and controls as required for the new work. 2. Provide & install new boiler and associated piping systems required for a complete working system. The contractor is responsible to lay out the new equipment and piping. a. All new equipment shall be installed on concrete pads. Provide new pads or enlarge existing pads as required. b. Provide and install two new variable speed primary pumps to operate in a lead/standby manner with weekly lead pipe alteration, provide new ABB (or owner approved equal) variable speed drives. c. Provide and install electrical service to the new boiler and pumps, including CSD-1 emergency shutdown switch at boiler room door. 3. Provide and install control systems as described in the contract documents. 4. Provide and install a new condensing water heater, expansion tank, and mixing valve. Reconnect to the existing domestic hot water system. Provide dielectric unions at all connections to the existing piping. Install new CPVC combustion air and vent piping through the roof.
