Description

This specification outlines the general requirements and methodologies used to accomplish annual inspection, testing, and maintenance of nickel-cadmium stationary battery systems in 138kv to 12.4kV electric distribution substations owned by the Weatherford Municipal Utility System. The goals of the work herein described are to find and correct problems with the installation, condition, operation, or foreseeable operation of the equipment comprising the DC power supply components of the electric distribution substation in order to protect public safety, personnel safety, customer service and reliability, and Weatherford Municipal Utility System capital investment, and to comply with all testing and maintenance requirements of the National Electric Reliability Council. (NERC)
