Description

The Project consists of the demolition, removal, transportation, and disposal of 3 tanks, PVC piping, pump shed and 2 centrifugal pumps at the Cove Harbor Bilge Facility. After tanks have been removed, power wash all concrete within containment and remove and dispose of all wash water. The tanks (6,502 gallon vertical gun barrel tank and 2 10,000 gallon tanks) will need to be replaced with a high density polyethylene heavy duty design able to with stand material with a specific gravity of 1.9 (15.8lb/gal), and modified and installed to meet current tank configuration with all connections (1 tank was recently replaced and will remain). Replacement of all 2" PVC piping approx. 200' with 2" high density polyethylene pipe. Replacement of the pump shed and 2 centrifugal pumps with 8'12' Morgan building with the metal siding or equivalent and 2 stainless steel centrifugal pumps with 1" suction and discharge that run at 1.5 horsepower, 3500 rpm, and draw 22 amps at full load on 110v. Project is considered a priority as the operation of the Aransas County bilge removal contract is dependent on this units full operation. Project to include, but not limited to, all labor, equipment, supplies and personnel necessary to remove, transport, and dispose of the tanks, piping, shed, and pumps and all components, and install replacement tanks. Project will include disposal of associated debris and residual fluids/sludge at appropriate certified waste facilities.
