Austin Energy's District Energy & Cooling needs to replace aging cooling towers at its Downtown Cooling Plant #1 (DCP1).

This program is to maximize the useful life of the city's raw water, potable water, reclaim water, and wastewater storage facilities. The City of Pflugerville, Texas is soliciting request for proposals for furnishing all labor, materials, tools and equipment and performing all work required forthe TR2501 Parkway Drive Roadway Improvements Project, project which consists of roadway improvements to Parkway Drive, including pavement reconstruction, survey verification, superelevation adjustments near the FM connection, and driveway reconstruction to resolve conflict layouts.

The Project consists of the renovation of approximately 28,490 square feet of the first story and atrium of an existing three story building. At the existing building approximately 2,888 square feet of vestibule and screen porches are proposed to be added, as well as approximately 11,000 square feet of wrap around porch and an entry structure. New structures for this project include a three-story observation tower that attaches to the existing building, a two-story pavilion, and a restroom building. Landscape features for this project include a new entry gate, a new entry sign, a renovated parking lot, a rain garden, a playground, an amphitheater, a series of trails, a bird blind, and raised boardwalks. The project is pursuing Sustainable Sites Initiative or SITES certification with the goal of SITES Gold. SITES is similar to LEED but pertains only to the landscape and buildings that are not regularly occupied. All areas within the Limits of Construction, except the work associated with the interior of Building A - Main Building and the Cave Exhibit in Building C lower level, will be included in the SITES documentation.
