236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Mid-Atlantic is seeking eligible Small Business firms capable of performing construction services for Design Build, Naval Air Maintenance Center for Excellence (NAMCE), Tension Fabric Structure (TFS) Hangar 122, Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach, Virginia. This Design-Build project will provide a temporary, but fully functional 48,000 square foot Tension Fabric Structure (TFS) Hangar and O1/O2 Spaces for the Naval Air Maintenance Center for Excellence (NAMCE) maintenance group during renovation of Hangar 122 located at Naval Air Station Oceana. The immediate project site is approximately 2.3 to 3 acres, however, when including transit routes on the installation, the project area expands to approximately 40 acres. In addition to the hangar, the project includes 20 supporting modular units that will be used for administrative and maintenance shop operations. The project requires the demolition of four existing buildings with a combined area of over 9,000 square feet. One of the demolished buildings, a 3,486 square foot storage facility, will be reconstructed. The project will involve excavation with a maximum depth of 10 feet.
