236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Mid-Atlantic is seeking eligible Small Business firms capable of performing construction services for Design Build, Naval Air Maintenance Center for Excellence (NAMCE), Tension Fabric Structure (TFS) Hangar 122, Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach, Virginia. This Design-Build project will provide a temporary, but fully functional 48,000 square foot Tension Fabric Structure (TFS) Hangar and O1/O2 Spaces for the Naval Air Maintenance Center for Excellence (NAMCE) maintenance group during renovation of Hangar 122 located at Naval Air Station Oceana. The immediate project site is approximately 2.3 to 3 acres, however, when including transit routes on the installation, the project area expands to approximately 40 acres. In addition to the hangar, the project includes 20 supporting modular units that will be used for administrative and maintenance shop operations. The project requires the demolition of four existing buildings with a combined area of over 9,000 square feet. One of the demolished buildings, a 3,486 square foot storage facility, will be reconstructed. The project will involve excavation with a maximum depth of 10 feet.

The City of Virginia Beach is soliciting statements of interest and qualifications from interested firms to provide Construction Administration and Inspection Services including, but not limited to; construction administration; construction management; construction inspection; environmental inspections; quality assurance and independent assurance; material sampling, testing and certifications; surveying services; utility designation and location; plan review; constructability review; biddability review; value engineering proposal review; construction schedule and critical path method (CPM) review; delay claims analysis; cost estimating; construction document review; payment review and processing (to include all applicable documentation); provide qualified inspectors on an as needed basis to augment Construction Bureau Inspections staff; assist in training Public Works inspection staff regarding civil construction inspection best practices including State and/or Federal requirements.

The work includes renovations to laundry and food prep areas. Modifications include demolition of existing laminate casework with stainless steel casework. Commercial grade dishwashers will be provided at each food prep area. One existing dishwasher will be relocated to the cat prep area. Existing washers and dryers will be replaced with new. Plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems will be modified to suit the revisions.

This work includes the replacement of approximately 1,600 linear feet of existing 10-inch cast iron force main with a new 10-inch ductile iron (DIP) force main. The proposed alignment extends from City Pump Station 113, located on Morgans Lane, to a new connection with the existing 16-inch DIP force main along Birdneck Road.

The City of Virginia Beach, Virginia will receive sealed bids for the furnishing of all equipment, labor and material, and the performing of all work for the Annual Services Construction Contract #2 for CIPP Lining contract. The work includes construction of various utility pipeline projects throughout the City of Virginia Beach.
