Mason County PUD No. 1 has received a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant to complete approximately 21.8 miles of live line vegetation clearing around its high voltage 3-Phase distribution mainlines on U.S. Highway 101 and State Route 106. Additionally, the PUD has identified 50 separate hazard tree locations for tree removals as part of the scope of this project.

Install Three Phase (240v) 40kw Kohler commercial grade liquid cooled generator, with block heater, a minimum 500-gallon liquid propane tank, and a 200amp automatic transfer switch inside well house at Holiday Beach well site. Install Single Phase (240v) 20kw Kohler commercial grade liquid cooled generator, with block heater, a minimum 500-gallon liquid propane tank, and a 200amp automatic transfer switch inside the well house at Island Hide-A-Way well site.

The Contractor shall: Inspect all reservoirs for sediment and defects. JACK JANDA, Commissioner RON GOLD, Commissioner Clean as necessary to remove all sediment, debris, and bacteria harboring media, for reservoirs Alderbrook 1, 2, 3, and Madrona Beach. Clean as necessary to remove all sediment, debris, and bacteria harboring media, for Highland Estate tanks. These tanks will be drained prior to inspection and cleaning being completed. Record all procedures using cameras capable of focusing on the entire interior surface with high resolution video to include narration. Video record shall play back in Microsoft Media Player. Provide live video feed and live voice communication for monitoring of entire procedure. Defects shall be noted on inspection report, with owner option for repair. Final report of inspection findings and recommendations to be provided in Adobe PDF format and sent on USB drive, compact disc, or by electronic mail (email). Inspections and cleanings shall be completed by December 1, 2026. Final reports shall be submitted to Mason PUD 1 by December 30, 2026. Guarantee all bids are valid for a minimum of thirty (30) days from date of submission.

Contractor shall be responsible for the general construction activities, including but not limited to, procurement of material not included in the List of Owner Furnished Material, construction management, construction activities, and commissioning of the work. The scope of work shall include all tasks and equipment necessary to provide the Owner with a complete and functional conduit system in conformance with specifications and terms of this Contract.
