The City of Fernandina Beach Riverfront Resiliency Project is the continuation to protect Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach from Blue Sky Tide Flooding, Sea-level Rise, and Storm Surges. Fernandina Beach Marina Redevelopment consist of the following. The demolition of Brett's Waterway Cafe and the removal of debris falling into the river; dredging; a new pier is to be constructed to have the entrance be more in align with Center Street with a single entrance to the marina including improved site views. The location of the pier will allow the construction of the new pier to occur while the existing pier remains open. Then the demolition of the existing timber pier and reconnecting of floating docks E and F. Also, the proposed project will consist of a new concrete bulkhead and wooden boardwalk constructed over the water to replace the existing boardwalk and failing bulkhead under Brett's. The new bulkhead appearance and finish to match phase one of the Fernandina Beach Riverfront Resiliency Project which will be a concrete finish with recess amber lighting.
