Drainage Infrastructure Improvements -City of Lake Charles LA

The work consists of new recreational and site improvements at Anna T. Jordan Community Park, including construction of a new playground, a new pavilion, and an approximately 80- foot-wide accessible connection linking the playground area west of the creek to the ball fields, community facilities, and parking areas to the east. The playground includes a large, sculpted berm, a primary playground structure, and additional supporting play elements. The work also includes erosion control measures and planting improvements along the existing creek corridor, as well as new tree planting throughout the park to support recovery of tree canopy lost over the past three years.

Shoreline protection and habitat enhancement along the northern bank of Lake Chien utilizing earthen fill and marine mattress revetment placed along the existing marsh platform bank line as depicted in the bid documents.

This work includes the replacement of existing temperature controls system including equipment and programming as detailed in the contract documents for the following buildings: Health Tech, Manuel Hall, Library, HRPE Gym, Mumphrey Hall and Hundley Hall.

The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of Interior and Exterior Improvements to the existing building as follows: Renovation of the 1st, 2nd, and basement levels of the existing 4-story historic Shreve Memorial Downtown Branch Library. Work includes new walls, ceilings, and finishes. Terrazzo Floor Restoration at Entry; addition of study rooms and Childrens activity area; room signage; accessible restrooms; and stair and railing modifications at all floors. Interior work also includes water infiltration treatment at basement walls. Exterior work includes installation of a new flagpole; exterior building signage and associated lighting; capping open lightwells and sealing gaps in existing lightwell covers; and repair of existing aluminum storefront windows and steel casement windows as indicated.

Approximately 1.5 miles of Munson Road will undergo construction to widen the roadway by three (3') feet (18" on each side) with 8'' thick of asphaltic concrete. The widening of the road will take place from the intersection of US 71 to US 71.

Replace all existing light fixtures and fans at the (2) two pavilions at Festival Plaza.
