The Project will construct a new pair of BRT Stations and Platforms near I-94 and Snelling Avenue. The project also includes systems connections and minor work at existing Metro stations to facilitate the extension of the Gold Line BRT line to Minneapolis.
The work of this project includes the rehabilitation and cleaning of a 36-in gravity interceptor and 23 manholes, temporary erosion control, traffic control, dewatering and restoration, along with temporary conveyance of wastewater in a phased manner.
Environmental Assessment and Abatement, Master Contract 25P267, which includes the following services: environmental assessment, testing, isolation, removal, and disposal of asbestos containing materials and/or suspected other hazardous materials at any Metropolitan Council Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) or lift stations, existing or future site, or other site within the region served by Council.
Requested services include, but are not limited to, predesign and design services, provision of construction documents, and construction administrative services.
The Metropolitan Council (Council) is soliciting Prequalification Submittal Documents (PSDs) for the purpose of establishing a list of prequalified SPECIALTY CONTRACTORs to provide the specialty construction associated with compaction grouting beneath the existing interceptor, instrument monitoring during the grouting application, liner removal, rehabilitation of existing sanitary interceptor, installation of a new M228A metering structure and incidental restoration work.
The proposed work consists of constructing an approximately 750-foot pocket track to support LRT operations, extending from approximately Station 102+53.5 to 109+65. The scope includes installation of one No. 6 RH turnout (approximately 69 track feet), placement of concrete ties (including standard, restraining rail, and guard rail ties as required), installation of new rail, and secure fastening of rail to ties via insulated shoulders in accordance with LRT standards. Work will also include placement of approximately 300 tons of mainline ballast, followed by lining and tamping to achieve final plan alignment, profile, and grade. Construction activities will encompass track layout, material handling, rail installation, surfacing, and final adjustment to ensure operational readiness and integration with existing track infrastructure. Available inventory of concrete ties will be utilized where feasible to reduce material procurement costs, with remaining materials supplied as required.
Metropolitan Council requires contractor services to construct Mobility Hub amenities at three existing transit centers operated by Metro Transit. The scope includes mobilization and temporary facilities as needed, civil construction, electrical work, and the purchase and installation of site furnishings. The work of this project includes: Upgrades to St. Croix Valley Water Resource Recovery Facility including: new bar screens, new primary sludge pumps, aeration blower VFDs and aeration improvements, new UV disinfection system, alum storage and feed system improvements, HVAC improvements, electrical improvements, fiber work, road reconstruction, carbon vessels fall protection, gravity thickener repairs and access upgrades, and sludge backup hauling during construction.

The construction project is a renovation of the METRO Transit Blue Line Lake Street/Midtown Station, located at 2310 East Lake Street, just west of Highway 55 (Hiawatha Avenue) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The station serves METRO Blue Line Light Rail Transit on an aerial platform. The work of this project includes a major renovation of the Blue Line aerial station, the addition of new, interior operations spaces at the ground level, and the addition of a new, accessible, exterior pedestrian ramp connecting the street level to the platform. The renovation scope includes removing the existing partial canopy and attached overhead catenary system, platform shelters, elevators, escalators, and stair enclosures; reconstructing a new canopy, reinstalling the overhead catenary system, platform amenities, new elevators, and new, widened outdoor staircases; and all associated civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, systems, temporary traffic work, associated testing, and certification to support the project.
The Metropolitan Council is soliciting proposals for the following services: consulting services in areas of technical analyses and engineering planning to assist Met Council staff in preparing the wastewater, water supply, and surface water management plan elements of 2050 Comprehensive Plans for very small communities that are eligible participants in the Met Councils Small Communities Planning Program.
