Depot Street Tank Rehabilitation Project, Cleveland, NC
The project consists of the rehabilitation of the elevated Depot Street Water Tank. This will involve repairing the tank anchor bolts, upgrades to the overflow pipe, upgrades to the tower access ladder, installing climbing guards on lattice legs, adjusting the windage rods to withstand 100 mph winds blowing from any direction, reinforcing the strut ends, installation of swing gate on balcony, drilling additional weep holes in balcony floor, welding the circumference of the posthead-to-shell connections for reinforcement, cleaning and lubricating all moving parts on the liquid level indicator and calibration of the unit, installation of guard rail system on tank roof, upgrades to roof access ladder, replacing existing finial ball with a vacuum-pressure frost proof vent and screen, surface preparation and recoating of exterior/interior of tank, remounting roof with gusset plates and seam sealing the circumference of the roof-to-shell connection, performing cleanout of interior of tank, replacement of roof manway, installation of safety grill over riser pipe, and disinfection the tank interior upon completion.
