Resurfacing Approximately 1.62 miles of Existing Roadway on SR 1002, Luzerne County, PA
The purpose of the project is to improve deficiencies and provide a smoother riding surface, therefore, decrease the cost of ongoing roadway maintenance. The improvements to the roadway are to eliminate current potholes, depressions, rutting, and other pavement failures. This project is for the resurfacing of approximately 1.62 miles of existing roadway on various routes in Luzerne County, Various Municipalities in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The resurfacing includes asphalt wearing courses, scratch courses, milling, line painting, shoulder backup, pavement markings, and guide rail. All work will be completed within the existing roadway. All maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) will be completed in accordance with the special provisions of the contract and will consist of short-term patterns.
