Description

In general, the scope entails Tenant Improvements around the existing student services desk and adjacent hallways. The Work includes demolition of casework and finishes and the installation of new floor and wall finishes. The Work also includes structural repairs to the Bookstore floor. A select area of floor structure and subfloor repair is part of this Work, as indicated on the architectural plans. Sequencing shall be as indicated below under Part 1, 1.09 Work Sequence. After the existing flooring and subfloor have been removed, the A & E team shall be notified. This will allow for the A & E team to visually assess the underlying structural conditions and develop repair requirements for this select area. Upon doing so, structural solutions will be provided, and this additional Work will be provided under direction of a Field Authorization or Change Order Proposal. Allow one work week from notification of the A & E team regarding underlying conditions being exposed, to a FA or COP being issued with repair directions. Work at areas outside of this select repair area shall proceed uninterrupted during the time of structural assessment and design issuance. Alternate bid for carpet and wall base replacement in select rooms Voluntary numerical Diverse Business goals of 10% MBE, 6% WBE, 5% SBE or PWSBE, and 5% Veterans have been established for this project. Achievement of the goals is encouraged.
