This RFP includes the following elements: 1. Design, engineering, fabrication, and shipping required for the replacement of one (1) floating wooden decked moorage pier and the nine (9) associated wooden piles of the northwest pier at the Village Waterfront location. Please see Appendix A for the existing pier layout and Appendix B for photos of the existing pier. The replacement pier will incorporate the following requirements: a. Floating moorage pier assembly shall be one hundred and sixty (160) feet long and eight (8) feet wide. SITC preference is twenty-foot-long individual float sections. 2 b. Floating pier shall support a minimum uniform live load of eighty (80) psf. c. Decking on the replacement moorage float will be grated with 60% open space compliant with WAC 220-110-300 (per the NEPA environmental assessment). d. Floating pier sections shall incorporate a composite plastic lumber exterior rub strip. e. The existing floating pier is secured by eight (8) interior guide piles and one (1) exterior guide pile at the open end. For initial costing purposes assume a similar yoke layout with nine (9) fourteen (14) inch diameter steel piles. Yokes shall have composite plastic lumber rub rails or rollers. f. The new moorage floats shall incorporate full length rails for moorage line anchorage. g. All synthetic flotation material shall be permanently encapsulated to prevent breakup into small pieces and dispersal into the water (per the environmental assessment). h. Skirting and other continuous protective bumper material that may impede light penetration beneath the edge of the moorage float will not extend below the bottom of the float (per the NEPA environmental assessment). i. j. The new moorage float assembly will connect with shore power. Design must incorporate conduits and four (4) dock pedestals with LED lighting spaced approximately evenly along its length. Pedestals shall each have two (2) 120-volt 30-amp receptacles. The new moorage float assembly will interface with existing gangway, access pier, and finger pier (see photos).
