Construction Management Services - Pump Station 2 Improvements and Modernization (PLA), San Diego, CA

The Construction Management Professional for the Pump Station 2 Improvements and Modernization project will be responsible for providing Construction Management Resident Engineer (CMRE) services and Inspection services for the Design-Bid-Build contract for the Pump Station 2 (PS2) Improvements and Modernization project. The scope of the PS2 project includes replacement of eight vertical non-clog pumps, six pump motors, six pump motor drives, eight cone valves, eight suction wedge-type gate valves, eight discharge wedge type gate valves, and concrete patching & coating for two wet wells to ensure long-term functionality of this critical Metro System facility. Other Pump Station 2 enhancements include replacement of pump fly wheels; pump supports; pump gauges, sensors, and transmitters; installation of new pump seal water supply system; architectural rehabilitation of the Mechanical Room; structural rehabilitations throughout the facility; and additional HVAC units and ductwork for the new electrical equipment. The project will require a minimum of one CMRE for a duration of approximately 1,452 construction working days plus 40 working days start-up and 80 working days for close-out. The project will also require inspection including but not limited to structural, concrete, mechanical, welding, electrical, coating, corrosion, and instrumentation and controls (I&C). Working hours will be during daytime, however some nighttime or weekend work may be required to ensure completion of the work and changes to the working hours could be required through the contract duration in order to meet specific project needs.

Turnkey Fleet Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Program, San Diego, CA

The City of San Diego seeks proposals from qualified contractors to provide a turnkey electric vehicle (EV) Charging as a Service (CaaS) infrastructure program (Services) for the design, installation and management of EV supply equipment (EVSE) (Level 2 or DC fast charging) necessary to electrify the Citys fleet vehicles across multiple City sites. Specifically, the City desires a long-term contract with a partner to deploy a sufficient number of charging ports on City sites to support the electrification of approximately 3,500 City vehicles by 2035, ensuring no significant impact to operational capacity. The City seeks EV charging solutions that optimize the use of EVSE across a strategic portfolio of sites. Contractor shall propose the number of charging ports at each of eight mandated sites and propose deployment of charging ports at additional City sites for consideration per Section F.2. of Exhibit B. While City departmental vehicles have historically dwelled at certain sites, some vehicles may be relocated to different sites in order to optimize deployment and reduce costs. Vehicle relocation to a different dwelling site shall be made at Citys sole discretion. However, San Diego Police Department (SDPD) and Fire-Rescue Department vehicles shall be programmed to dwell only at SDPD and Fire-Rescue sites, and other departments should not be programmed at these sites.
