Alachua County is undertaking a comprehensive replacement of detention-grade sliding door operating devices at the Alachua County Jail, located at 3333 NE 39th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32609. The project includes removing existing sliding door mechanisms and installing new, detention-rated sliding device assemblies for multiple door types throughout the facility, including double sliding devices in corridor areas, pod entry sliding devices, and single sliding devices in various housing units.
