It is the intent of this solicitation to secure a source for Asphalt Paving for the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida for a period of one (1) year with up to four (4) possible one (1) year renewal options. The initial performance period shall be from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027, to pave various areas within the City limits of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. All materials and workmanship shall meet Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, latest edition, unless otherwise discussed herein.

This scope of work includes building design/professional services, all the site infrastructure, access and site improvements on the property related to the new building primarily in and around a site which extends from the existing building to an entrance drive to the east and from Judge Maney Way on the south extending to older freestanding building to the north. Currently, the parking lots and larger stormwater improvements are planned to be under a separate engineering scope of work and construction schedule that will need to be coordinated. Post selection for this project, these parking and stormwater improvements may be added as a change to the scope of work, with a corresponding fee change, at the discretion of the County. Regardless, the awarded consultant will need to address the extension of utilities to the new building, stormwater tie-ins leaving the site, loading areas and loading access, and internal tie-ins to the existing building and facilities. Coordination will be required for County IT for security features, and technology.

The purpose and intent of this Request for Proposal is to select a qualified contractor for the acquisition, construction, and deployment of multiple offshore marine artificial reefs by deploying numerous multi-sided, prefabricated concrete artificial reef modules.
