The proposed work will involve replacement of approximately 6,000 linear feet of existing water mains with new 12” ductile iron water mains within the paved road surface and shoulder of roadway, including replacing water main along Route 114 in phases and installation of new copper water services to each property. The work will involve installation of temporary water mains above the ground during construction, excavation to remove existing water mains and install new water mains and services. Following installation of the new water mains and services, the excavated areas will be backfilled and paved within the existing road surface or loamed and seeded in the shoulder areas. Once the work is complete, the temporary water mains will be removed. The work also includes temporary and permanent trench paving and replacement of guard rails and thermoplastic and slotted pavement markings, and coordination with other contractors to replace traffic signal loop detectors. Contract time to substantial completion of all water work is 180 calendar days commencing on the effective date of the Agreement. Contract time to completion of all final paving and restoration work is 365 calendar days. No work to be completed between November 15, 2021 and April 15, 2022 without authorization.
