The Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, labor, tools, supplies, transportation, and appurtenances for the drilling, temporary and permanent casing, screening, developing, and performance pump testing of the potable water wells to be completed as shown and specified in Drawings and Specifications. Start Cards for drilling of the wells have been obtained by the Utah State Parks Lands/Environmental Coordinator and will be made available to the Contractor by DFCM upon award of contract for the Work. Provide the Engineer with borehole log, cuttings, sieve analyses, and step drawdown and constant rate tests. Mobilize to and demobilize from the proposed well sites, excavation of mud pits, and water management. Drill wells and install well casings, screens, and seals in accordance with the drawings. Furnish, install, and remove test pumps and appurtenances for aquifer testing. Aquifer testing will consist of step drawdown tests and constant rate tests. The step drawdown test will be used to establish the flow rate of the constant rate test. Total aquifer testing time is not anticipated to last longer than 30 hours at this site. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to investigate the geology of the area and the nature of the strata that may be encountered in drilling the well. Neither the information contained in these specifications, nor gleaned from the Agency(ies), Engineer, or other agents, shall act to relieve the Contractor from any responsibility set forth in the Contract. No extra compensation will be paid the Contractor for unexpected drilling difficulties. Bonds required.
