The Santa Rosa County School District is seeking mold remediation and cleaning/disinfection services for the revitalization of one (1) school activity bus. The bus is currently located at 6544 Firehouse Rd, Milton, FL 32570. The bus wash bay located on the compound is available to use for the cleaning process. Please call the Purchasing Department, Debbie Cooper, to set an appointment to view the bus prior to submitting a quote. Purchasing Department hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Some photos provided under “documents and items.” The school activity bus was in storage. The interior needs mold remediation as well as to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. The exterior of the bus also needs have any have any necessary mold/mildew removed and to be washed. Interior mold remediation includes: Removal of mold and/or mildew from all vinyl seats and other surfaces. Use of antifungal and antimicrobial treatments for cleaning and disinfection. Air filtration system cleaning – includes A/C and heating system. Removal of wasp nests (no live organisms). Cleaning of A/C units and heaters to ensure no mold growth. Use of antifungal and antimicrobial treatments for cleaning and disinfection. Replace filters as applicable. Interior cleaning is defined as: Removal of dirt and cobwebs from all surfaces. Washing all interior windows. Sweeping and mopping or scrubbing the floor to ensure it is clean. Interior disinfecting is to be done after all mold removal and cleaning has been completed. **Note that the vinyl seats will be cleaned and sanitized during the mold remediation and will not have to be sanitized or disinfected again after the cleaning process.** Targeted disinfection of surfaces that have been cleaned and are able to be disinfected. E.g., surfaces such as ceiling, railing, walls, and stainless-steel components such as window frames. Disinfection is defined as wiping down all surfaces after they have been cleaned to remove any bacteria and viruses with a cleaning solvent that is approved for said purpose. Disinfection is the process of killing the germs and bacteria on the surface or object. A disinfectant must kill 99.99% of germs. Exterior mold removal and cleaning includes: Removal of mold and/or mildew from all hard surfaces. Use of antifungal and antimicrobial treatments for cleaning and disinfection. E.g., surfaces such as the engine hood and bus roof. Washing the body of the bus. Washing all exterior windows. Cleaning and Armor All of all tires. Air filtration system cleaning – cleaning of any exterior ventilation. Removal of wasp nests (no live organisms) from any exterior ventilation. Cleaning of any exterior ventilation to ensure no mold growth. Use of antifungal and antimicrobial treatments for cleaning and disinfection. Replace filters if applicable. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
