The Columbia County Board of Commissioners, in conjunction with Information Technology, is soliciting bids from responsive and responsible vendors to furnish and provide all labor, equipment, materials, installation, etc. needed for cabling at Columbia County’s new Performing Arts Center, currently under construction. The County would like to receive additional discounts for all NEW Off-the-shelf IBM Power (System i) and Storage systems, Lenovo Data Center products including servers and storage, and VMware Enterprise / Horizon solutions. The County would also like to contract with a qualified and experienced partner for professional services for various implementations and upgrades related to the referenced equipment and software. The discounts should reflect delivery F.O.B. destination (i.e. at a specific County address). The firm is encouraged to provide other incentives (i.e. maintenance and warranty on equipment discounts, training credits for new purchases, trade-ins, etc.) in their proposal. Provider is to include proof of specialization to provide IBM/Lenovo/VMware solutions and the ability to provide professional services related to all areas of these technologies. The successful provider shall warrant that all equipment is NEW, in good working order, free from defects and in performance to its specifications. All equipment and software must conform to the manufacturer’s (IBM/Lenovo/VMware) official published specifications. The successful provider shall agree to work with manufacturers to repair, adjust and/or replace (as determined by the County to be in its best interest) any defective equipment within the warranty period. The successful provider shall ensure that all professional services will be provided by trained and experienced IBM/Lenovo/VMware certified engineers. All professional services work shall meet the Scope of Work for the intended project to the satisfaction of County personnel. Each professional services project shall include postimplementation documentation to be provided to the County.
