The City of Portsmouth will receive sealed Bids for the Carney Farm Lane Water and Sewer Replacement Project. The Work under this Project consists of the replacement of the existing water and sanitary sewer mains. The project includes installation of approximately 284 LF of 2-inch HDPE, 123 LF of 4-inch HDPE, 622 LF of 8-inch HDPE, and 40 LF of 8-inch DIP water main and associated appurtenances. Also included is the installation of approximately 1,160 LF of 8” PVC C900 gravity sewer main and 9 manholes. Approximately 247 LF of 10” gravity sanitary sewer will be lined by CIPP which will include the rehabilitation of approximately 22 VF of 4’ diameter manholes. The project includes replacement of all existing sanitary sewer laterals and water services. It is anticipated that some tree removal will be necessary to complete the project. Any main that is to be abandoned in place shall be cut, capped and filled with flowable fill. This project is funded by Virginia Clean Water Revolving Funds. DBE GFE required. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
