The City of DeFuniak Springs will accept bids from licensed Florida Contractors with experience and expertise in Commercial Renovation and Historic Restoration and with the ability to substantially complete the project by June 28, 2021. The selected contractor will be responsible for completion of the interior trim out and finishing of the existing stairs, walls, ceilings, and floors at the North and South exit stairs. Additionally, the contractors shall replace or repair the historic wood stair railings. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing all supervision, equipment, and labor required to complete the job. The contractor may utilize the materials provided and stored on-site for the execution of the work, however, additional materials, if needed for satisfactory completion of the work, shall be the contractors’ responsibility. The contractor must determine that the material provided and stored on-site are sufficient in quantity and quality to complete the work required by attending the mandatory pre-bid/walkthrough meeting. Additional detailed requirements are contained in the bid scope documents. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid shall accompany the bid.
