Replace and upgrade Coachella Gas Turbine Generating Station’s General Electric (GE) Frame 5 Gas Turbine Unit 1 and Unit 2 turbine controls system located at 51-170 Shady Lane, Coachella CA, 92236.The units are dual fuel units (natural gas and distillate) with standard combustion and Mark I Speedtronic controllers. The existing gas turbine control system devices are old, obsolete and in some cases are difficult to adjust, or repair. Additionally, circuit boards are not supported by the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).The new turbine controls must incorporate all the control functions currently performed by the existing system with the addition of new features that will enhance the reliability, availability, performance, and maintainability of the Coachella Gas Turbine Plant.
