The project consists of construction of a 12-foot wide multi-use trail on the north side of Van Buren Parkway from Burnt Store Road to El Dorado Boulevard; on the east side of El Dorado Boulevard from Van Buren Parkway to Kismet Parkway; and on the north side of Kismet Parkway from El Dorado Boulevard to Nelson Road; approximately 3.5 miles. Other components include, but not limited to, a new pedestrian bridge (prefabricated steel, clear span over Zanzibar Canal), roadway widening, milling & resurfacing, driveway reconstruction, driveway widening on improved lots, drainage improvements/curb & gutter, utility sleeves & sanitary service laterals under the trail, utility relocations, signing and pavement, permitting, and environmental mitigation. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
