The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), is soliciting bids from qualified firm(s) to provide Abatement and Demolition of Improvements, Structures, or other Encumbrances in the Right of Way and/or Easement Areas. All improvements must be completely demolished and removed from their present site. All demolition debris must be removed and disposed of properly in an appropriate landfill or recycled in accordance with the provisions of the Georgia Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Act of 1990 and the Georgia Rules for Solid Waste Management Chapter 391-3-4. The work will be completed in strict accordance with the Technical Specifications. Structure 1 will require abatement of asbestos containing materials prior to demolition. The asbestos abatement contemplated and covered in this scope of work consists of the equipment, supervision, and all other services required for the complete abatement, removal and proper disposal of asbestos-containing or contaminated materials these structures. A bid security bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the total bid price is required to be submitted with the bid response package. The Department acknowledges that said bid security has been submitted in the form of bid bond, or certified check made payable to “the Georgia Department of Transportation”. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
