The Work of this Contract generally consists of replacing approximately 15,800 linear feet of water main, including service connections, valves, fittings, hydrants, and associated appurtenances at various locations in the City of Gardner. The water main will be installed in existing paved roadways. This contract consists of temporary pavement on all roadways including permanent pavement on Pearl Street and within the Massachusetts Department of Transportation State Highway Layout on Pearl Street. The project includes Additive Alternate A which generally consists of replacing approximately 3,800 linear feet of ductile iron water main on Pearl Street (from Smith Street to Chapel Street) and all associated service connections, valves, fittings, hydrants, and appurtenances. Prequalification with MassDOT in Sewer and Water is required. Bonds and prevailing wages
