The work consists of the construction of sinusoidal rumble strips on asphaltic concrete in accordance with the details in the plans and as directed by the Engineer. Contractors must be able to prove past experience installing the sinusoidal pattern both for their equipment and operator. The contractor must demostrate to the Engineer on an initial 500-foot test section that the equipment and method will provide the desired ground surface finish and wave pattern.
