The Jackson Creek Floodplain Expansion Construction Project is a National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) Gulf Environmental benefit grant-funded project sponsored by Escambia County and managed by Escambia County Natural Resources Management Department. The project provides for floodplain enhancement, invasive species management, and stormwater enhancements along Jackson Creek east of Old Corry Field Road. The funds for this Bayou Chico Restoration project will be disbursed by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NWFW) to Escambia County and represent a portion of the payments received by NWFW pursuant to plea agreements entered as judgement in the cases captioned as United States v. BP Exploration and Production, Inc., Case No. 2:12- cr-00292-SSV (E.D. La.), and United State v. Transocean Deepwater Inc., Case No. 2:13- cr-00001-JTM (E.D. La.) (together, the “Plea Agreements”). The work shall be substantially completed within One Hundred Twenty (120) calendar days from the Commencement Date. The Bidder agrees to fully complete all work included above within One Hundred Fifty (150) consecutive calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed.
