Leviathan Mine, Markleeville, Alpine County, CA 96120. The mine does not have an address. Here are the Directions: Access to the mine will only be allowed through the California side from Markleeville, CA: a) Head southeast on CA-89 S towards Laramie Street. Go 4.8 miles. b) Turn left to stay on CA-89 S. Go 4.8 miles. c) Turn left onto Leviathan Mine Road. Go 2.6 miles. d) There is a small sign at the Leviathan Mine Road entry way.

Estimate: $258,400

This is a re-advertisement of a Project for which bids were opened on June 23, 2021 and no contract was awarded. No revisions were made to scope of original work and Drawings and Project Manual, including Addenda, remain same as originally issued with exception of new bid opening date.  New Bid Forms will be issued to qualified bidders. Major components of Project Work consist of: provide new 12’ wide x 100’ long concrete pad for vehicles and equipment during acid mine drainage treatment process. Provide 4” high curb along one side and 4” high speed bumps on both ends. Provide approx. 735’ of new 12” thick aggregate base road, cut and fill grade so concrete pad slopes and sheds water into pond with new grades to approx. match existing. Excess material after cut and fill will be wasted on site at a location to be determined by state representative, there will be no export of material off state property. Provide erosion and sediment control devices in accordance with the drawings.
