Sealed bids are invited for the construction of the Livestock and Poultry Research Facilities – Phase 1- Bid Package 2 project located at Virginia Tech’s Kentland Farm in Blacksburg, VA. Bid Package 2 contains the new construction of two facilities at Virginia Tech’s Kentland Farm for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS). The Beef Nutrition | Physiology Research Facility (BN) is a 26,800 square foot research facility for Beef Cattle feed studies. The facility is primarily open air and includes a 1,000 square foot feed mixing room and commodity storage bins. All cattle rails and gates and agricultural equipment is included in the base bid price. The Kentland Hay Barn (H4) is a 9,000 square foot 3-sided building for hay storage. The bid includes all building components and the associated site work. Bonds required.
