Description of work required to comply with State of Florida Law Chapter 399 Elevator Safety and all recommended upgrades to provide for a newly upgraded elevator. 1. Conversion from Geared to Gearless a. Convert all three main MOC elevators to complete gearless operations in accordance with industry standards. Conversion shall include gearless machine technology, digital controllers and regenerative drives. 2. Code Compliance a. Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation has adopted a new ASME Elevator code. Provide for all required modifications to comply with ASME Elevator Safety Code part 3.1 of ASME A17 3-2015, Safety Code for Existing Elevators and Escalators. The new safety code requirements of Section 3.10 Operating Devices of the Elevator with Faulty Door Contact Circuits, must be completed by December 31, 2023. 3. Cab Interiors a. Furnishing and Installation of new cab interiors. Cab interiors shall be same for all elevators which are part of this contract. 4. Other Required Work a. Completion of all work required to comply with existing elevator code, including but not limited to required revisions of structure and finishes that work in sync with existing elevator system. This includes but is not limited to the following 1. HVAC in elevator machine room 2. Machine room and pit lighting 3. Disconnects 4. Compliance operation with existing emergency power systems 5. Elevator Phone lines 6. Fire alarm upgrades 7. All other code compliance requirements 8. Touchscreen Car Operating Panels 9. LCD display screens 10. Security Camera installation.
